The Mercedes M139 intake system for the A45 and CLA45 has been developed to give the turbo a smoother path for airflow. By redesigning the system to allow for a more direct path, the turbo can generate boost with less resistance and therefore reach boost pressure faster in the rev range. This intake system has been developed to offer the highest possible flow capacity while maintaining the lowest possible inlet temperatures to achieve a net performance increase. The defined flow path also makes the turbo's scavenging more clearly audible, adding to the dynamics of the overall driving experience.

Each intake system consists of:

- Patented Venturi filter housing in carbon fiber
- Customized high flow dry cone filter
- Inlet channel in carbon fiber
- Laser cut stainless steel brackets
- Laser cut stainless ECU relocation mount
