The intake system for the Mercedes GLC63S AMG is the result of extensive development and testing. Eventuri's design strives for three main goals: 1) Increased flow capacity. 2) Low inlet temperatures. 3) Smooth airflow. The first goal was achieved by utilizing all the limited space available in the GLC63S engine bay, resulting in a 39% higher flow capacity compared to the original system. The second goal was achieved by designing a completely tight system. The GLC63S engine compartment reaches high temperatures with heat sources such as turbos in close proximity to the intake, so it is crucial that the intake remains tight. The last goal was achieved by designing an organically shaped system with custom rounded panel filters to ensure that the airflow path contained no sharp corners, allowing for a laminar flow.
Each intake system consists of:
- 2 x Air box covers in carbon fiber with turbo inlet transitions
- 2 x Air box bases in carbon fiber with intake channel transitions
- 2 x Customized high flow panel filters
- 2 x CNC machined stainless steel inlet flanges
- 4 x CNC machined aluminum filter flanges
- 2 x CNC machined MAP bosses
- 4 x CNC machined rubber mounts
- Laser cut stainless steel mounting
If you want the part mounted on the car, we will of course solve it in Svedala.
